Essentia selects Horizon to lead its paid media efforts and support channel planning for campaign work


BOTHELL, Wash., November 11, 2019 – Essentia, the pioneer of ionized alkaline bottled water in the U.S., today announced a new partnership with Horizon Media for paid media planning, buying and campaign efforts through 2020.

Horizon will lead plan development and execution of paid media efforts for Essentia’s “It Might As Well Be You” creative campaign (which was launched in April 2019 and is being expanded into 2020), along with associated media research and reporting against key performance indicators.

“It’s been a big year for Essentia and we are continuing to invest in and up-level our marketing efforts, as we set our sights on capturing broad, meaningful brand awareness at the national level,” said Karyn Abrahamson, Chief Marketing Officer, Essentia. “Horizon offers both deep-rooted experience in insights-driven media strategy, planning and buying with a long-standing and close working relationship with Droga5, which will bring unparalleled synergy and integration to our 2020 marketing efforts.”

Droga5 remains Essentia’s creative agency of record and will continue to drive overall campaign strategy, execution and performance, as well as media strategy, analytics and reporting. The two agencies will work in close collaboration, along with other inter-agency partners supporting PR, influencer and experiential marketing and sales functions.
